Darris Hoskins A.K.A. the legendary DJ Mad Dog is an accomplished multi-dimentional producer/architect who has developed some of the most advanced digital media technology on the market. Currently serving as Chief Architect of Mix 1 Digital Networks, LLC. a privately-held digital media company specializing in solutions, research, marketing and development of digital distribution and social media technology, original content, and marketing collateral for the media and entertainment industries.
He previously served as a founding member and Sr. Principal Engineering Director of Intent MediaWorks, a leading digital music aggregator/distributor, Senior Quality Engineer of WebTV/Microsoft, a world renowned technology company and Assistant Production Manager on "Space Jam" for Warner Bros. Feature Animation. Prior to founding his first company in the spring of 1990, mixed for radio and various nite clubs in St. Louis MO, New Orleans LA, and Atlanta GA. Independently produced & distributed mix shows and performed airshifts in the same markets. Integral to founding the world's first commercial Hip Hop radio format (Y94 WYLD). Served as Production Director at WQUE (Q93). After relocation to LA in summer of 1992, served as Promotion Assistant for Motown Records and Pool Director for National Urban Dance Promotions, (founded by the late Captain G of KKBT/KMJM). During this 3 yr. Relationship, produced dynamic remixes for various record labels and ghost DJ mixes for LA radio stations (KKBT, KJLH).
He has produced well over 2000 hours of broadcast programming with #1 shows for six stations in four states. Each one leading in their respective market. He is the only broadcast talent to have fused continuous mixes of Hip-Hop, R & B, Dance, and House as an integral part of the urban broadcast format, many years before their current popularity. | |
